Corey Buttry & Roy Amotz (both pronoun fluid)

  • Corey Buttry (pronoun-fluid) is a queer community planner, ritual artist, and coach devoted to social and ecological regeneration. Their work invites people into deeper relationship—with themselves, with each other, and with the living world—through practices that are practical, embodied, present, and rooted in care. Corey believes that when we make space for our grief, we can grow stronger, feel more at home in the world, and stay true to who we really are. Corey lives in Portland, OR on the traditional lands of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River.

Roy Amotz is a musician and soul activist. He grew up in Jerusalem and now lives in Berlin, Germany. One of Roy’s deep desires is to use music as a means of personal transformation and healing. By creating safe and intimate containers, he invites listeners to relax and connect with their capacity for deep listening, both inward and outward. This work goes hand in hand with their commitment to radical transparency and showing up fully, both on and off stage. Personal and collective grief work—especially inspired by the teachings of Francis Weller—has become a significant part of Roy’s path, and they have participated in and facilitated music-supported grief rituals in diverse contexts. Roy’s path resonates deeply with The Work That Reconnects by Joanna Macy. They see music as a way to awaken our interconnection with all life, to honor our pain for the world, and to nurture resilience through collective presence and heartfelt expression. The melodies of her flutes reflect a deep connection to water, gratitude towards nature, and her grief for what humans have inflicted on the Earth and ourselves.
