Volunteer Eligibility
To be an Ignite Volunteer you must have some previous Ignite experience as a volunteer or participant, or experience with space holding and facilitation.
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
As a volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in creating the magic of the festival and helping everything to run smoothlys. Some of our volunteer responsibilities include:
Creating a welcoming atmosphere: Support participants’ arrival at the festival on day one and help attendees feel welcome and safe throughout the festival.
Practicing clear communication and great teamwork: Provide helpful information to festival-goers and collaborate with our volunteer team members to ensure the festival's success.
Assist facilitators in sessions: Step into the role of facilitator’s assistant, including demos and helping to obtain supplies.
Volunteer meet-up: Attend the in-person volunteer meet-up on Wednesday, July 24th, from 5:30-7:00 pm. Snacks and drinks are provided.
Daily check-in: Participate in daily volunteer check-ins to discuss any questions and support each other. These will happen for 15 minutes prior to the opening ceremony each day of the festival.
Visible support: Be a visible presence for attendees to connect with about any questions or needs.
Set up and tear down: Be available for pre-festival setup and post-festival tear down to help prepare and close out the event.
